In few words

This musical installation allows to manipulate four voices represented by four spotlight lamps. Quartet was more a non sense experiment rather than a project, our goal was just to upset the functions of the lamp but keeping the same human approach.

Technical details

The hardware was made using an Arduino board and some flex resistors to send input signals from the spotligh’s flexible shaft.
The software was coded using Pure Data to translate the signals coming from the Arduino board into audio variations.

This project was made together with Laura Bordin and Nicola Plaisant. The video and the home page thumbnail was shot by Nicola Plaisant.
